PIHRA District 1 Where savvy meets savory        Monthly Meeting     PIHRA District 1 Officers We are PIHRA District 1, which covers downtown Los Angeles and environs.   PIHRA is a professional organization, which meets to enhance business contacts, knowledge and careers.  Members and the general public may attend our meetings, which are held for business and human resources professionals, managers, executives and CEOs.  We emphasize strategic business issues and trends at our meetings, which extend to various disciplines within organizations.  We invite you to join our cohesive group, to make business contacts and enhance your career opportunities.  We meet at restaurants or hotels in the downtown area, but sometimes hold our events in clubs, art galleries or other locales. The best way to get to know our District and its members is to attend one of our events.  Savory cuisine is always featured, whether we hold a breakfast meeting, luncheon or after-hours event.  We welcome you to join us.  We start our meetings with a half-hour of networking, follow with legislative updates, continue with announcements of current events, job openings and job seekers, and conclude with an hour-long presentation by a well-versed business expert.  When we hold after-hours mixers, we emphasize terrific food, wine, socializing and networking.  Our monthly meetings and mixers usually last two hours, though mixers are open-ended.  Our luncheons are generally held at downtown restaurants and hotel, such as Kendall's Brasserie at the Music Center or J Restaurant and Lounge , while breakfast meetings take place at Pacific Dining Car.  Mixers are held at various locations in the downtown or Hollywood area.  We generally meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, but the date may change due to scheduling of venues and speakers.  As a matter of course, to get the most current and accurate meeting information each month, please visit our website at http://www.pihra1.com and select Monthly Meeting from the main menu.  Or, call us at (818) 486-2792.
